The Arts Council of Moore County is proud to announce its 2012 Summer Arts Camps. The camps are an effort to offer Moore County's youth the opportunity to explore the magic of the arts--on stage, on paper or canvas, and behind the scenes. See Art…Visit the Campbell House Galleries to see artwork from local and regional artists and pottery from the Seagrove area. There are ten exhibits presented throughout the year and each is unveiled with a festive Meet-the-Artist Opening Reception on the first Friday of the month. Fine Arts Festival
The Arts Council of Moore County (ACMC) created the Fine Arts Festival in 1980 to provide incentive for local artists to improve their technique and a place to showcase and sell their artwork. The festival has since grown into a major exhibit featuring artwork by artists from all over the country. The event also includes an art competition where the entries are judged in nine categories and $2,500 in cash prizes and ribbons are awarded. Moore Puns Comedy Series
Everyone loves a good laugh! That is why the Arts Council of Moore County and Dr. Christine Gatti & Dogwood Dental Associates are excited to present the second annual Moore Puns Comedy Series. This year’s series will consist of three shows at the Sunrise Theater featuring two professional stand-up comedians and a contest to determine the "Sandhills Funniest Comic," plus three free comedy shows at local businesses featuring amateur comedians.
